SDCCU presents webinars focused on consumer protection as part of SDCCU’s Financial Wellness Wednesdays

SAN DIEGO, Calif., (March 4, 2024) – San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), one of Southern California’s largest locally-owned financial institutions, is providing educational resources for the community in support of National Consumer Protection Week, March 3-9. On Wednesday, March 6, SDCCU will present three free webinars aimed at educating the community on how to keep themselves, their loved ones and their finances safe. Webinar topics include Elder Financial Abuse Prevention, Scams and How to Protect Your Finances and Understanding Credit Reports and Preventing Identity Theft.

National Consumer Protection Week encourages the community to learn more about their consumer rights and how to keep their finances secure. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has sponsored National Consumer Protection Week since 1998 and provides free resources to protect consumers from the latest scam tactics and other fraudulent crimes including identity theft.
