Everyone is encouraged to help raise awareness about mental health in the community

SAN DIEGO, Calif., (October 2, 2023) – San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), San Diego’s largest locally-owned financial institution, is proud to support Check Your Mood Day in partnership with Live Well San Diego. Check Your Mood Day, held on October 5, in conjunction with National Depression Screening Day, encourages the community to monitor and assess their emotional well-being.

The purpose of this annual event is to engage and encourage community members to raise awareness about mental health by monitoring and assessing their emotional well-being. Check Your Mood Day will allow members of the community to join together to access free online mental health resources, take a virtual Check Your Mood screening and participate in a social media campaign to raise awareness about mental health. For more information, visit CheckYourMoodSD.org.

“It’s important to take care of our mental health, because it can quickly impact our physical and financial health. We are pleased to join the County of San Diego and Live Well San Diego to raise awareness about this important initiative,” said Teresa Campbell, SDCCU president and CEO. “We encourage the community to utilize the numerous resources available through Check Your Mood Day.”

The San Diego County Board of Supervisors launched Live Well San Diego in 2010 with the goal of achieving healthy, safe and thriving communities across the region by partnering with community and city leaders, schools, businesses, non-profit organizations and residents. SDCCU was the first financial institution to be designated a Live Well San Diego partner due to its many efforts to improve the overall wellbeing of people in San Diego County.
