Blood drive held at seven SDCCU locations helped to save over 290 lives

SAN DIEGO, Calif., (July 9, 2024) — San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), one of Southern California’s largest locally-owned financial institutions, partnered with the San Diego Blood Bank to host a blood drive at seven SDCCU locations in San Diego and Riverside counties, collecting 97 units of much-needed blood, which will help save the lives of over 290 people.

The blood drive helped boost blood inventory during a challenging time of the year for the San Diego Blood Bank. Blood donations are especially critical during summer, and increased summer travel has put additional strain and need on the already stretched supply.
