Throughout October, SDCCU will present webinars and resources focused on staying safe online as part of Financial Wellness Wednesdays

SAN DIEGO, Calif., (October 2, 2023) – October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month. San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), one of California’s largest locally-owned financial institutions, is committed to increasing awareness of cyberattacks and helping the community stay safe online by providing tips and resources to help prevent cybercrimes. In support of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, SDCCU will present free educational webinars on a variety of cybersecurity topics as part of Financial Wellness Wednesdays. The topics include: Scams and How to Protect Your Finances, Internet Safety for Your Kids and a special live interview with cybersecurity expert Jim Stickley.

The cost of cybercrime is predicted to reach $8 trillion in 2023, and surpass $10.5 trillion by 2025. The Cybersecuirty Awareness Month webinars are part of Financial Wellness Wednesdays, an ongoing program hosted by SDCCU to help provide the community access to free financial wellness information.
