Los Angeles Times honors most impactful CEOs across the state

 
SAN DIEGO, Calif., (August 5, 2021) -- San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), Southern California’s largest locally-owned financial institution, is proud to announce that SDCCU President and CEO Teresa Campbell was named a 2021 CEO Leadership Award Finalist by the Los Angeles Times. The award recognizes the most impactful CEOs across the state whose companies have demonstrated resilience and strength over the course of the past year.
 
Campbell was selected as a finalist for her steadfast leadership over the past 16 months during a challenging economic climate due to the COVID-19 pandemic along with directing the organization’s ongoing commitment to the community they serve. Campbell has earned a number of notable awards for her accomplishments and leadership in the time she has been with SDCCU. In 2021, Campbell was honored with a Business Leadership Award from the North San Diego Business Chamber, as well as selected as one of SD Metro Magazine’s Women of Influence for the second consecutive year. In 2020, she was named a Business Woman of the Year as well as a San Diego Top 50 Executive by the San Diego Business Journal. In 2019, she was named CEO of the Year by the San Diego Business Journal and recognized with the North San Diego Business Chamber’s 2019 Business Leadership Award. In 2018, she was selected as one of 25 San Diego Business Women of the Year by the San Diego Business Journal and honored with a Bronze Stevie Award for 2018 Female Executive of the Year.
 
Campbell serves on the Department of Financial Protection and Innovation, CU Advisory Committee. She served two years, 2018 to 2020 on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Credit Union Advisory Council. She served as the 2012 and 2013 Board Chair of the California Credit Union League and has since continued her service to the League by serving as a Board and Committee Member. Campbell also serves as the Board Chair of the National Credit Union Foundation. Campbell’s educational background includes a BS – Accounting from the University of Maryland at College Park, and a MAS – Financial Management from The Johns Hopkins University.
