The Spelling Bee is held in partnership with the San Diego County Office of Education
SAN DIEGO, Calif., (February 18, 2025) —San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), one of Southern California’s largest locally-owned financial institutions, returns as a sponsor of the San Diego County Scripps Regional Spelling Bee, presented in collaboration with the San Diego County Office of Education and ABC 10News on March 6, 2025, at the Jackie Robinson Family YMCA.The San Diego County Scripps Regional Spelling Bee is open to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students in public or private school with a combined enrollment of 30 or more children. The winner will be awarded the title of Spelling Bee Champion and will receive an all-expense-paid trip to compete in the 2025 Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C.
