The Spelling Bee is held in partnership with the San Diego County Office of Education

 
SAN DIEGO, Calif., (March 10, 2022) -- San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), one of Southern California’s largest locally-owned financial institutions, returns as the presenting sponsor of The San Diego Union-Tribune Countywide Spelling Bee, presented in collaboration with the San Diego County Office of Education. This year’s virtual event will be broadcast Thursday, March 24 on iTV Cable 16.
 
The San Diego Union-Tribune Countywide Spelling Bee is open to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students in public or private schools with a combined enrollment of 30 or more children. The overall winner of the countywide Spelling Bee will be awarded the title of Spelling Bee Champion and will compete in the 2022 Scripps National Spelling Bee.
