SDCCU provides free resources focused on improving financial health throughout August

All month long, SDCCU is presenting weekly educational webinars focused on financial awareness for various stages of life as part of SDCCU’s Financial Wellness Wednesdays. Topics include: Dealing with a Furlough or Layoff, Auto Buying Basics, Rebounding After a Financial Setback, 10 Steps to Financial Freedom, Protect What Matters: California Insurance Update & Smart Coverage Strategies for 2026 presented by InsureOne, and Teaching Your Teen About Money.

According to Forbes, financial literacy in the U.S. has dropped to a 10-year low, with surveyed adults answering an average of 47% of basic financial questions. The aim of National Financial Awareness Day is to bring awareness to learning about finances and building financial stability in preparation for a successful financial future. 


The webinars offered are part of Financial Wellness Wednesdays, an ongoing program hosted by SDCCU, to help provide the community access to free financial wellness information.
