Blood drive held at seven SDCCU locations helped to save over 246 lives

SAN DIEGO (January 8, 2026) — San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), one of Southern California’s largest locally-owned financial institutions, partnered with the San Diego Blood Bank to host a New Year blood drive at seven SDCCU locations in San Diego and Riverside counties, collecting 82 units of much-needed blood, which will help save the lives of over 246 people.

The blood drive helped boost blood inventory during a challenging time of the year for the San Diego Blood Bank. Blood donations are critical at all times of the year, but especially after the busy holiday season.
