Throughout September, SDCCU will present special college preparation webinars as part of SDCCU’s Financial Wellness Wednesdays

September is National College Savings Month and SDCCU will present free weekly educational webinars on college savings and financing as part of Financial Wellness Wednesdays. Webinar topics include How to Pay for College, Your Guide to 529 College Savings Plans, and FAFSA: The Key to Unlocking Financial Aid.

According to The Education Data Initiative, the average cost of college has more than doubled in the 21st century with an annual growth rate of more than four percent. This is one of the many reasons why the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) created National College Savings Month to help students and families prepare and save for this expense. 


The National College Savings Month webinars are part of SDCCU’s Financial Wellness Wednesdays, an ongoing program hosted by SDCCU, to help provide the community with access to free financial wellness information.
