Blood drive held at nine SDCCU locations helped to save over 282 lives

SAN DIEGO (July 7, 2026) — San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), one of Southern California’s largest locally-owned financial institutions, partnered with the San Diego Blood Bank to host a summer blood drive at nine SDCCU locations in San Diego, Orange, and Riverside counties, collecting 94 units of much-needed blood, which will help save the lives of over 282 people.


The blood drive helped boost blood inventory during a challenging time of the year for the San Diego Blood Bank. Blood donations are critical at all times of the year, but especially in the busy summer season.
