Blood drive held at eight SDCCU locations helped to save over 300 lives

SAN DIEGO (September 9, 2026) — San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), one of Southern California’s largest locally-owned financial institutions, partnered with the San Diego Blood Bank to host a Labor Day blood drive at eight SDCCU locations in San Diego and Riverside counties, collecting 101 units of much-needed blood, which will help save the lives of over 300 people.

The blood drive helped boost blood inventory before a busy holiday weekend when needs for donations typically spike. Although blood donations are critical at all times of the year, donations during busy travel seasons help increase support hospitals receive throughout the multi county regions.
