Online Banking Security
Internet Branch online banking is safe and secure. Our enhanced security features significantly reduce the risk of fraud while logging into Internet Branch. This means going beyond using the traditional combination of Account Number/Username and Password to verify your identity. SDCCU also uses Verisign's Extended Validation (EV) SSL, the highest standard for website authentication, as well as two-factor authentication.
Username and Password: Signing into Internet Branch online banking requires your Username and Password. Primary and joint account holders select these during Internet Branch enrollment.
Timeout: To protect your information, Internet Branch automatically defaults to a time-out feature following 10 minutes of no activity. At that time, the system will terminate the session should you inadvertently forget to log out.
Online Transfers: Funds can be transferred between your accounts with the same member number. Transfers take place immediately, provided there are no holds on the funds. You can also transfer money between your accounts with different account numbers through our expanded Electronic Transfer feature. The number of Transfers you can make may also be affected by Regulation D. Please refer to our Account Disclosures & Agreement disclosure for more information regarding Regulation D.
Troubleshooting: If you are experiencing difficulty accessing Internet Branch for the first time, verify that the cookies function is turned on and pop-ups are allowed. By default, all browsers accept cookies (if the feature is turned ON). Occasionally, Internet users select the option to turn off the cookies feature. To use Internet Branch, the cookies feature must be turned on. See our Online Privacy Policy for details.
Our enhanced authentication service helps to ensure your identity and information is protected. We will send you a one-time passcode via a text or phone call with a passcode that you need to enter. You will see this when performing select actions within online banking such as:
- When you forget your password.
- When we detect that the way you regularly log into Internet Branch changes. For example: if you normally log into Internet Branch at your home computer and you log on from your sister's house while you are on vacation, you may be prompted to answer one of your security questions to verify your identity.
- When you change your personal information within Internet Branch online banking.
This is just another way we keep your information safe.
