Nearly 40,000 pounds of paper collected, over 335 trees saved at latest SDCCU Shred Day Event

SDCCU is committed to helping the community properly dispose of sensitive data, an effort that landed them their third Guinness World Record® for the most paper collected in 24 hours in one location in July 2015. SDCCU’s latest free Shred Day Event, held at three locations on April 9, resulted in a total of 39,367 pounds of paper collected and shredded. SDCCU plans to break the record again this year at their next SDCCU Super Shred Event scheduled for July 30, 2016 at Qualcomm Stadium.
