San Diego County Credit Union receives 2016 Excellence Award by CUNA HR & Organizational Development Council
Excellence in human resources and organizational development at SDCCU recognized by Credit Union National Association

SDCCU was honored with a 2016 Excellence Award by the Credit Union National Association’s (CUNA) HR & Organizational Development Council. SDCCU was recognized for its excellence in the Employee Engagement category among credit unions across the country with assets of more than $1 billion.
SDCCU was selected in part for its award-winning culture, which SDCCU identifies as its “Feel the Teal” culture. “Feel the Teal” is defined as SDCCU’s pride and passion for its brand, its work and the community.

The CUNA HR & Organizational Development Excellence Awards recognize and honor credit unions that exemplify excellence in human resources and organizational development and serve to promote credit union philosophies through people leadership. SDCCU maintains a robust wellness strategy, which was key to winning the award. SDCCU’s wellness program has contributed to the cultivation of a highly productive and engaged workforce, which in turn has led to SDCCU’s continued growth and success.
Michelle Pagni, Executive Vice President of Human Resources, accepted the award on behalf of SDCCU during the 22nd Annual CUNA HR & Organizational Development Council conference, held April 10-13, 2016 at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, Fla.
Pagni, who joined SDCCU in 2011, manages the organization’s HR functions to develop, administer and maintain all HR policies, procedures and programs, including recruiting and hiring, compensation and evaluation, benefits administration, employee relations, organizational systems, facilities, training and staff resource pool needs. Pagni has been a driver in helping to identify SDCCU’s organic culture and defining it for the entire organization as “Feel the Teal.”
