SDCCU, San Diego’s largest locally-owned financial institution, was a proud sponsor of St. Madeleine Sophie’s Center’s (SMSC) 37th annual Haute with Heart Fashion Show and Luncheon on Saturday, Aug. 16, at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel in Downtown San Diego.
“We are proud to support St. Madeleine Sophie’s Center and help adults with developmental disabilities find a way of life that makes a world of difference,” said SDCCU President and CEO Teresa Halleck. “We applaud the dedication of the highly skilled staff who give others a chance to live life to the fullest.”
The fundraiser featured professional models, as well as models from the SMSC Triton Swim Team, walking the runway and showcasing the latest trends in fashion and swimwear. Also available was boutique shopping, live and silent auctions and performances from the Center’s Performing Arts Group production of “Grease.” Proceeds benefit the programs for adults with developmental disabilities offered at SMSC. The event theme, “Fashion on Pointe,” was inspired by SMSC student John Agostini’s painting of a ballerina. Sally B. Thornton, writer and philanthropist, is returning as this year’s honorary chair. Distinguished honorees include Barbara J. Menard and the Menard Family Foundation. For event information, visit STMSC.org.
