To provide the community greater access to financial advice, SDCCU, San Diego’s largest locally-owned financial institution, recently launched #TealTalk, a series of exclusive conversations presented by SDCCU that represent a platform for direct interaction between SDCCU customers and industry experts.
The first-ever #TealTalk, held Wednesday, Sept. 10 during the lunch hour, was hosted by renowned financial expert George Chamberlin. Twitter users were invited to send a personal finance question relating to budgeting, household finances, retirement, estate planning, investing or any other money matter to @SDCCU with the hashtag #TealTalk to join the conversation. Chamberlin answered as many questions as time permitted and participants were invited to have fun, learn and share their favorite tweets. Some of the questions asked focused on planning for retirement, saving versus paying off debt and monthly spending. For more details, visit sdccu.com/blog.
“As the community’s financial partner, we strive to deliver the best in financial products and services as well as keep customers informed on their finances. #TealTalk is one of many opportunities provided by SDCCU for customers to get greater access to financial resources, advice and experts to help improve their financial health,” said SDCCU President and CEO Teresa Halleck.
Chamberlin is a renowned financial expert who provides a wealth of financial and business news updates to the Southern California region. He is the Executive Editor of The San Diego Daily Transcript, San Diego’s only daily business newspaper, the Business Editor for AM-600 KOGO News Radio and host of “Money Matters,” a personal finance talk show heard each Sunday on KOGO. Among his many accolades, he has been honored three times as Media Advocate of the Year by the Small Business Administration.
