San Diego County Credit Union sponsors the SACTOWN Ten-Mile Run benefiting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals

Team SDCCU ran to benefit Rady Children’s Hospital  and CHOC Children’s Hospital

San Diego County Credit Union^® (SDCCU^®), San Diego’s largest locally-owned financial institution, sponsored and participated in the 8^th Annual Credit Union SACTOWN Ten-Mile Run to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals last week. Locally, proceeds benefit Rady Children’s Hospital and CHOC Children’s.
 
On April 8, the Credit Union SACTOWN Ten-Mile Run in Sacramento, brought together credit unions from across the country with a shared vision of fundraising and helping children. The proceeds from this event support the 170 Children’s Hospitals that belong to the CMN, which is a non-profit international organization that helps to treat millions of children across the U.S. and Canada.
 
“SDCCU is proud to work with credit unions from across the country to support the Children’s Miracle Network hospitals, who provide vital care and services to children who need it most,” said SDCCU President and CEO Teresa Halleck. “This race, along with several other annual activities that take place as part of our affiliation with Credit Unions for Kids, provide credit unions across the state the opportunity to collectively make a huge impact in their communities.”

Team SDCCU—which was made up of 21 employees—traveled to Sacramento to run in this year’s ten-mile/5k race, which started and finished at the California State Capitol. This race is one of many activities that SDCCU participates in as part of its affiliation with Credit Unions for Kids—the brand under which America’s credit unions and affiliated organizations fundraise for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. All credit union donations, whether raised from the Credit Union SACTOWN Ten-Mile Run or other activities, are totaled through Credit Unions for Kids.
