San Diego County Credit Union second quarter 2017 results show continued growth

SDCCU reaches $8.2 billion in assets, serving over 357,000 customers

SDCCU releases positive second quarter financial results for 2017. SDCCU reported that return on assets remains strong at 1.23 percent year-to-date through June 2017.  Additionally, SDCCU’s customer base continues to grow at almost 10 percent over the same time period in 2016.

“SDCCU experienced positive growth during the first half of 2017. We continue to see more customers making the switch to SDCCU—which is largely due to the credit union’s continued focus on delivering the BEST in financial products and services and providing exceptional customer service. We continue to elevate awareness of our brand in the community, enhance our mobile technologies and expand our branch network, making financial services more convenient and accessible for customers in Southern California,” said Teresa Halleck, SDCCU president and CEO.
SDCCU’s net-worth-to-assets ratio for the second quarter was 14.08 percent, well above the 7 percent minimum capital level required for credit unions to be regarded as “well-capitalized” as specified by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). The NCUA is an independent federal agency that charters and supervises federal credit unions and insures savings in federal and most state-chartered credit unions in the U.S.
