San Diego County Credit Union wins 2016 American Advertising Award for SDCCU Stuff the Bus

SDCCU recognized for its creativity in the Community Award category

SDCCU was awarded an Addy at the 2016 SDX American Advertising Awards, held Friday, March 4 at Kona Kai Resort & Spa on Shelter Island. SDCCU was recognized with a Bronze Addy Award in the Community Award category for its SDCCU Stuff the Bus campaign.

SDCCU Stuff the Bus was launched in partnership with Channel 933 and the San Diego County Office of Education during the 2015 “back to school” season to collect school supplies for local students. SDCCU wrapped a school bus, creating a mobile SDCCU Stuff the Bus billboard, which went on tour with Channel 933, making various stops to collect nearly 3,500 school supplies.
“SDCCU is honored to receive a 2016 Addy Award for SDCCU Stuff the Bus. This award is especially significant because it not only recognizes the creativity of SDCCU’s dynamic marketing team but also SDCCU’s commitment to youth, education and the community,” said SDCCU President and CEO Teresa Halleck.
SDX presented 122 San Diego American Advertising Awards for excellence in 41 advertising, digital and graphic design categories, culled from more than 335 entries, to 38 different companies. The American Advertising Awards program is hosted by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), a national advertising trade organization comprising a membership of more than 200 local advertising clubs, including SDX. The trophy is affectionately called an ADDY by the industry.
