San Diego County Credit Union named one of San Diego’s Healthiest Companies by the San Diego Business Journal

SDCCU recognized for being a wellness champion and creating an environment where employees enjoy going to work

SDCCU was honored with a San Diego’s Healthiest Companies 2016 award by the San Diego Business Journal. SDCCU ranked #4 among companies in the large business category for having a strong workplace wellness program and creating an environment where employees enjoy going to work.

There were more than 75 finalists nominated in the awards program. Each company was judged on its ability to make employee wellness a priority, organizational leadership and support for company wellness initiatives and measurement and return on investment.

SDCCU’s wellness program includes onsite biometric screenings, stress management tools, access to healthy foods, wellness challenges, an employee assistance program, annual health fair, onsite farmers market delivery, onsite massage, employee team walks, staff recognition luncheons and more. Also, to help keep wellness top-of-mind, SDCCU offers consistent lunch and learns, which offer employees a healthy lunch while listening to a variety of topics focused on health, including secrets to a healthy immune system, how to create a healthy lifestyle, mind, body and soul, as well as foods and medicine.
