SDCCU is deeply saddened to announce that Rod Calvao, former president and CEO (1992 to 2007), passed away peacefully last night. Rod was 69 years old.

“We mourn the loss of our dear friend Rod and our thoughts go out to his wife Barbara as well as his entire family,” said SDCCU President and CEO Teresa Halleck.

Rod first joined the credit union’s supervisory committee in January 1973 and was then elected to the board of directors in December 1974. Over the years, Rod served in various roles on the board of directors. Most recently, he served as chairman of the board until he retired in May of 2014.
