San Diego County Credit Union encourages the community to Join the Millions to Stop Diabetes

SDCCU is supporting the American Diabetes Association with an online and in-branch fundraiser

There are currently 14.6 million people with diabetes and pre-diabetes in California, which is why SDCCU is supporting the American Diabetes Association (ADA). Throughout the month of May, SDCCU is proud to Join the Millions® in the fight to Stop Diabetes®  by collecting donations to help fight against the disease. SDCCU encourages members of the community to make a donation at any of its 38 branch locations or donate online to ADA through Saturday, June 4.
“SDCCU is proud to support the important work of the American Diabetes Association and their efforts to Stop Diabetes,” said SDCCU President and CEO Teresa Halleck. “SDCCU is committed to educating the public about how to stop diabetes and support those living with the disease. In recent years, there has been a drastic increase in the number of diabetes cases in California, which is why this education is vital to the health of our community.”
Supporting the ADA is one of many ways SDCCU is helping to foster healthy and thriving communities in the areas where it operates. For the past two years, SDCCU has partnered with Scripps Health Foundation to sponsor the Scripps Whittier Diabetes Institute’s (SWDI) Project Dulce—a diabetes care and education program that addresses the specific needs of diabetes patients in the greater San Diego area.
