Business Service Representative

Description: The position of Business Service Representative is established to provide operational support to the Business Services Department and the branch network.
Provide business loan and account information to existing and potential customers. Process non-real estate related business loan requests and coordinate loan funding. Assist branch personnel with operational questions regarding business accounts and business loans. Contact and collect updated financial information from existing borrowers on an ongoing basis, file UCC forms, perform general ledger and account reconciliation as needed, prepare rate sheets, answer phones and perform clerical and additional duties as assigned. Maintain quality service standards as set by the organization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide Quality member service consistent with Credit Union standards; respond to member and staff inquires on the phone.
  • Process business loan applications and coordinate loan fundings.
  • Prepare documentation for business savings and loan products.
  • Contact and collect updated financial information from existing borrowers.
  • Balance general ledger and perform account reconciliation as needed.
  • File UCC forms.
  • Prepare rate sheets.
  • Provide support functions for business service products to all Credit Union branches and departments.
  • Prepare loan files for annual reviews and imaging.
  • Provide notary service.
  • Participate in AML/BSA compliance training as assigned. Adhere to credit union AML/BSA policy and procedures including CTR rules and form preparation, identify and refer suspicious activity to the Compliance Department, perform OFAC comparisons, and properly identify individuals in accordance with Branch Operations procedures.
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • College degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 1 - 3 years’ experience in working with business accounts, business loans, and commercial real estate.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical and human relation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to interface with Credit Union staff and outside representatives at all levels.
  • Working knowledge of personal computers, include word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; to reach with hands and arms, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • The employee is occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
