Internet Branch is more secure than ever. Our enhanced security features can significantly reduce the risk of fraud while logging onto Internet Branch. This means going beyond using the traditional combination of Account Number/Login ID and Password to verify your identity.
All current Internet Branch users should have already set-up their security questions. New Internet Branch enrollees will be prompted to select and answer a few security questions during enrollment. Be sure to remember your answers - the questions and answers will be used to retrieve lost passwords and help us verify your identity. If you have a Joint Owner on the account, you will need to share your answers with them. You can update your security questions at any time through Internet Branch Self Service. Select Manage Reset Password Answers under Personal Information.
You will be prompted to answer one of your previously selected security questions to validate your identity periodically. Other circumstances when you will need to answer one of your security questions include:
• When you forget your password.
• When we detect that the way you regularly log onto Internet Branch changes. For example: if you normally log onto Internet Branch at your home computer and you log on from your sister's house while you are on vacation, you may be prompted to answer one of your security questions to verify your identity.
• If your browser updates to a newer version.
This is just another way we keep your information safe. If you have any questions, please call us at (877) 732-2848 during normal business hours.
Please note: This is not a phishing scam. The questions are coming from our secure online banking site at sdccu.com and this security update is part of our standard operating procedures. |
